The other day I was reading a report on Antibiotics and it was quite shocking to say the least. I must warn you, what I am about to share with you may anger you quite a bit but the facts are compelling and will save you from a host of health issues later in life.
Pay close attention.
Antibiotics should almost NEVER be taken unless it is a life and death situation. Read that again.
Bold statement, I know, and a tough pill to swallow (no pun intended).
But here are the alarming facts YOU NEED to know. Your long term health depends on it.
Antibiotics are proven to only kill bacteria. They do not kill viruses and a virus is actually what you have when you are sick and go to the Doctor.
Antibiotics destroy bacteria: All bacteria, good and bad.
And thats the problem.
When the good and bad bacteria are destroyed, your cell walls become damaged and some of that bad bacteria gets into your blood and your tissues. The end result is tremendous inflammation within your body along with a breakdown of your immune system making you even more vulnerable to other infections.
This often leads to more infection or more virus.
Have you ever noticed that many times when you are sick, it often takes a few different antibiotics before you are actually better?
Well, breaking news.
9 times out of 10 your body healed itself by then. It wasn't the third or fourth antibiotic you were prescribed that healed you.
Shocking, I know. But these are the facts.
This imbalance that is created in this scenario kills most of the good bacteria. The good bacteria helps to regulate almost EVERY system in your body in one way or another.
The good bacteria is part of your body's natural defense system which helps you to properly breakdown food, digest food and absorb nutrients. They also help to prevent other organisms such as fungus and parasite build up which causes major damage in your body.
The good bacteria is viewed by many experts as the 'gate keepers' of your body's health. The more antibiotics that you consume, the more good bacteria that is killed off.
Not good. And a very big problem.
If you are lactose intolerant (which many people are today) there is an excellent chance you have killed all the good bacteria in your body over time. If you have any other nutritional deficiency it is because the nutrients you are taking into your body are not getting into your cells.
These days, most people do have some form of nutritional deficiency in some way, shape or form and I am seeing more and more pop up all the time in my line of work.
Without enough good bacteria working through your body, bad bacteria begins to take over causing toxicity throughout your body and an imbalance causing the liver, intestines, lungs and kidneys to become overwhelmed with the toxic burden and stop functioning properly.
Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse.
As more an more toxins accumulate due to bad bacteria build up from antibiotic use, your body begins to hold water and you gain weight.
Is it any wonder why there is an obesity epidemic in this country?
Overuse of antibiotics is a huge, virtually unknown contributor to obesity.
If this condition within your body goes on long enough your inflamed, toxic, nutrient starved body will start to waste away and much mores serious health conditions begin to set in that are much more difficult to treat such as liver failure, heart attacks, strokes, blood clotting, chronic pain, chronic fatigue, Candida, hormonal imbalances, neurological problems, skin conditions, asthma, and some forms of cancer.
Quite a dangerous line up to say the least.
Over 100 million doses of antibiotics are handed out each year. Pediatricians prescribe over $500 million worth of antibiotics annually just for one condition alone: ear infections!
Absurd.
Chances are, your Doctor never performed a test to see which antibiotic out of the thousands available would be the most effective for your particular bacterial infection.
Have you ever heard of a test like this?
I know I haven't.
There certainly should be one though.
By now, it should be no surprise that it is now being reported that over 90% of the antibiotics prescribed are not even the right one for YOUR particular bacterial infection.
Thats right.
Even the Center for Disease Control (CDC) which is a Government agency, reports that 60% of antibiotics are totally unnecessary prescriptions.
Doctors normally just prescribe the brand that they know best or the brand that they are given the most money to prescribe.
Its unfortunate, but true. Its all about the money.
Many health authorities are beginning to admit that antibiotics are over prescribed, creating problems that are FAR WORSE than the original condition.
Not a pretty picture.
I am disgusted just writing this. I can imagine how you feel just reading it for the first time.
The Solution:
No need to boycott antibiotics all together. Lets not go to extremes. They can save lives and they will serve their purpose at times but,
It is certainly NO WHERE near the amount of times you think and NO WHERE near the amount of times most Doctors think.
Contrary to popular belief, there is NO NEED to take antibiotics for a cold, flu, ear infection or a soar throat. Thats ridiculous. The side effects explained above are FAR WORSE than the few days you may not feel so well.
Preventing infections in the first place is the key. Take control over YOUR life and YOUR health. No time like the present. You can do this. I am here to help you if you need me.
Don't be so quick to reach for the antibiotic prescription!
I haven't needed to take any form of antibiotic in many years now and in the rare occurrence that I have experienced cold or flu like symptoms, sore throat, etc. I have successfully knocked them out by adding extra high quality nutrients and herbs to my regimen.
Its that simple.
You can do a lot to prevent infections. Much of it involves common sense. Cleanliness matters. Wash your hands several times daily and wash wounds. Grab some of that Aloe Hand Sanitizer at your local drug store. It knocks out all kinds of germs that lead to viruses and it feels pretty cool. Proper hygiene and sanitation are measures we often take for granted.
Dress properly in cold weather, and get adequate rest and sleep. You know the drill.
Reduce your exposure to toxic chemicals, both in food and in the environment. Very tough to do today, I know.
Drink pure water. Definitely don't drink tap water. There is bacteria everywhere in tap water. Throw away your toxic cleaning agents and solvents and look for less toxic, organic alternatives.
Small steps lead to big results in the game of prevention.
A clean, healthy diet is critical and, as usual, the most important of all. Adequate intake of various nutrients in the form of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and phytonutrients is the absolute key!
You must be on a potent antioxidant regimen today to fight viruses and infections. No if, ands, or buts about it!
Fresh, natural, organic foods contain much higher amounts of nutrients than the processed and artificial junk foods so commonly eaten today. Do your best to find meats that are antibiotic-free and hormone-free as well...
Remember, you are what you eat!
You simply HAVE NOT been told the truth about antibiotics. But not anymore. I just told you the truth.
Again, unless it is a life threatening situation, NO antibiotics.
