Bible Study Outline - Mark 1:12-13

12At once the Spirit sent him out into the desert, 13and he was in the desert forty days, being tempted by Satan. He was with the wild animals, and angels attended him

Jesus' presentation as God's Son and the beginning of His ministry were as much a cause for celebration in first century Judea as they are now. Normally when we celebrate something we throw a party or hold a parade. We hold celebrations for birthdays, anniversaries, and other special moments. Parades to honor holidays, winning sports teams and special events. Jesus was not so honored.

The Greek word translated here as "at once", eutheos (yoo-theh'-oce), has also been translated as "immediately", "quickly", "straightaway" and "just then". It appears 47 times in Mark's Gospel.

1.How do these other interpretations of the Greek word eutheos tie these verses to verses 9-11?

They place the temptation shortly following the baptism.

The Spirit who descended like a dove in verse 10 now has a mission for Jesus.

1.What does Mark say the Spirit did next?

Drove or sent Him into the wilderness.

The wilderness was a large area of barren lands around Judah, very much a desert wind swept, rocky and intensely hot.

The wilderness held a special signifiacnce to the Israelites beginning with their journey from Egypt and having crossed the Red Sea (Exodus 15:22) .

They experienced difficulties ranging from a lack of water (Exodus 15:23-25) and attacks by enemy nations (Exodus 17:8-16) all before reaching Mount Sinai.

At Sinai they received the Law (Exodus 20:2-17) .

They were punished for not trusting God (Numbers 11:32-33).

Moses and Aaron were punished for disobedience by not being allowed to cross into the Promised Land. (Numbers 20:8-12) .

Until, at last they took possession of the promised Land (Joshua 21:43).

God had kept His promise to the people of Israel.

I also established my covenant with them to give them the land of Canaan, where they lived as aliens. Exodus 6:4 (NIV) 1.In light of the brief history above, how might the people of Israel view the desert?

As a place of testing and deliverance. Mark tells us that Jesus was led into the desert by the Spirit. The Greek word translated in the NIV as "sent him", has also been translated as "drove" in the English Standard Version and "impelled" in the New American Standard. The Greek word ekballo (ek-bal'-lo ) means

to command or cause one to depart in haste ; to lead one forth or away somewhere with a force which he cannot resist

Mark is a little asture in his presentation, Luke and Matthew fill in a few further details for us.

And Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit in the wilderness for forty days, being tempted by the devil. Luke 4:1-2a (ESV)

Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. Matthew 4:1 (ESV)

1.What are a few things you get from Matthew and Luke that Mark leaves out?

Jesus was led by the Holy Spirit . Jesus was full of the Holy Spirit

2.Why is it important that the Holy Spirit was involved in Jesus ministry?

3.What lessons can we learn from the Spirits involvement in Jesus ministry?

4.How can we apply what we have learned from the Spirits involvement in Jesus ministry to our lives?

Jesus spent 40 days and nights in the wilderness living with wild animals.

Matthew 4:2 and Luke 4:2 tell us that Jesus abstained from nourishment for the forty days and forty nights. In other words Jesus fasted for forty days and nights. Living in a dangerous environment full of wild beasts some of which no longer exist in the region today, such as the lion.

After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. Matt 4:2 (NIV)

where for forty days he was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and at the end of them he was hungry. Luke 4:2 (NIV)

Jesus ordeal in the wilderness recalls two other events from the Old Testament such as Moses' ascent up Mount Sinai not once but twice Exodus 24:18, 34:28. Elijah's miraculous meal when fleeing Jezebel 1 Kings 19. A meal that susstained him forty days and nights in his journey to Horeb, also called Sinai.

Even the forty years Israel spent being tested and refined in the desert. Deut 8:2-3.

Adam Clarke wrote about the significangts of 40 days as follows:

It is remarkable that Moses, the great lawgiver of the Jews, previously to his receiving the law from God, fasted forty days in the mount; that Elijah, the chief of the prophets, fasted also forty days; and that Christ, the giver of the New Covenant, should act in the same way. Was not all this intended to show, that God's kingdom on earth was to be spiritual and Divine? - that it should not consist in meat and drink, but in righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost?. Roman 14:17 (NIV).

?????

Jesus was led into the wilderness to be tempted. The word translated as tempted is the Greek word peirazo (pi-rad'-zo) which has the following meaning.

to try, make trial of, test: for the purpose of ascertaining his quantity, or what he thinks, or how he will behave himself a.in a bad sense, to test one maliciously, craftily to put to the proof his feelings or judgments b.to try or test one's faith, virtue, character, by enticement to sin c.to solicit to sin, of the temptations of the devil

Mark tells us only that Satan tempted Jesus for forty days . Matthew and Luke add a bit more detail. This study shall use Matthews version to illustrate the Tempation of Christ.

The tempter came to him and said, "If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread." Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'"

Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. "If you are the Son of God," he said, "throw yourself down. For it is written: " 'He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.'" Jesus answered him, "It is also written: 'Do not put the Lord your God to the test.'" Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. "All this I will give you," he said, "if you will bow down and worship me." Jesus said to him, "Away from me, Satan! For it is written: 'Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.'" Matthew 4:3-10 (NIV)

1.What does Matthew tell us Satan used to try tempting Jesus? 2.How did Jesus respond to Satan's tempting? 3.What can you learn from Jesus' use of Scripture? 4.From Satan's use of Scripture? 5.How can we put these observations to use in our lives when we are tempted?

At the end of which Angels attended him.

Skunk2 Coilovers - to Modify Car Handling

Skunk2, which is famed for manufacturing quality coilovers, has earlier launched a reliable kit to complement its product. It can be reckoned that the company has established its name by giving reliable remedy to those drivers who find it hard to maneuver their vehicles. Skunk2 coilovers are made to cater both street driving and track racing vehicles. Moreover, recently the company has introduced its adjustable cover kit to serve as an easy and accessible solution to transform the performance of vehicles.

Said kit includes mounting hardware, hard-anodized CNC-machined threaded aluminum sleeves and CNC-wound SAE 9254 springs for racing. It is based on dual-locking perch design which is guaranteed by experts to be the most unfailing method in securing the spring perches.

Coilover is a car suspension tool that is made of a shock absorber with a coil spring surrounding the former. It should not be mistaken with struts and separately mounted shock absorbers. The coilover is preassembled hence when the shock absorber leaks or become useless, said auto part will be replaced as a unit. Authorities in the field of automotive parts are saying that the measure of quality coilovers is optimum compatibility and proficiency to vehicles. Further, experts also noted the fact that an ideal coilover must render superb damping with no torsional loads. Another, its performance must boost the quality of a ride and will not compromise it. Thus, it must be based on superior spring design technology to effectuate a more exciting and hassle-free performance. Several coilovers in the market are made adjustable just like that of Skunk2. This is done to consider compatibility of its hardness and height as well as the usage of threaded spring perch.

According to Skunk2, its coilover kit is created using the right suspension geometry. Its caster, camber and toe can be adjusted efficiently. Further, said kit is intended for both racer and professional use.

Cam And Computer Aided Design

Computer Aided Design (CAD) is the automation that uses various computer-aided design tools that guide engineers, architects and other professionals in their design activities. It is considered to be both software and special-purpose hardware. Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) is a software process that directly converts the product drawing into the code format enabling the machine to manufacture the product. CAM is used in various machines like lathes or milling machines for product manufacturing purposes.

CAM allows the computer work instructions to be given directly to the manufacturing machinery. It also uses algorithms for planning and controlling the fabrication processes. As a part of the design process, these algorithms are also used in the CAD systems during the manufacturability tests. The mechanism of CAM was developed by Computer Numerical Machines (CNC) in the early 1950?s. The system was directed by a set of coded instructions in a punched paper tape.

Integration of CAM with a CAD system designs and develops the manufacturing processes quickly and efficiently. This integrated mechanism is used in key areas such as the automotive, aviation and furniture industries. CAM is considered to be a very expensive system, which ranges over $18,000 for the computer system along with the software.

Design processes and the machining are more simplified with the help of the CAM system, which is used in CNC manufacturing. A 3D environment is used for a CAM system to work with the CAD system in most cases. A CAM system can efficiently control and manage various applications done from a single computer system. This makes the process much easier and faster; computer reprogramming is relatively simple and allows for faster implementation of design changes.

A CAM system controls the factors involving the data verification during manufacturing; panelizing the design to fit in the raw material; and editing and adding manufacturing information. Mechanical engineering and electronic design automation are the key areas where the CAM system is used. Computer-Integrated Manufacturing (CIM), Integrated Computer-Aided Manufacturing (ICAM) and Flexible Manufacturing System (FMS) are the major manufacturing mechanisms that are involved in the CAM system.

Irs Debt Help: 5 Options To Getting Rid Of Tax Debt

IRS Debt Help:

Do you owe the IRS? Are you struggling with IRS debts and cannot figure out what to do? Don?t despair, you are not alone. Many Americans owe back taxes, or cannot afford to pay their IRS debts. If you want to get IRS debt help, it?s important to understand the different IRS tax debt strategies.

There are five strategies for getting out of IRS tax debt.

1.Offer in Compromise: a program where you can settle your tax debts for less than what you owe. Requires making a lump sum or short term payment plan to pay off the IRS at a reduced dollar amount.

2.Installment agreement: a monthly payment plan for paying off the IRS.

3.Partial payment installment agreement: a somewhat new debt management program where you have a long term payment plan to pay off the IRS at a reduced dollar amount.

4.Not currently collectible: a program where the IRS voluntarily agrees not to collect on the tax debt for a year or so.

5.Filing bankruptcy: discharge your tax debts under the strict rules of a Chapter 7 or 13 bankruptcy petition.

Offer in Compromise

Many people who find themselves in debt to the IRS might focus on the first option above ? the Offer in Compromise (?OIC?). For those who qualify it can be the optimal solution, however, it is important to note that not everyone qualifies for the Offer in Compromise solution. Only about 15% of applicants succeed in reducing their debts through the OIC program. For this reason and because of the complexity of filing an Offer in Compromise many people enlist the services of a Tax Professional who has a track record of success negotiating with the IRS. This Tax Professional will not only be able to determine if you are eligible to reduce your IRS debts via an OIC but they will also assist you in navigating the complicated IRS bureaucracy to achieve the desired outcome.
An Offer in Compromise is a lengthy and time-consuming process. It takes most individuals anywhere from 12 months to 24 months to achieve a successful resolution on your offer application. Through an Offer in Compromise, taxpayers agree to pay the IRS only the reasonable collection potential instead of the full amount of taxes owed. For some people the "reasonable collection potential" will be less than the full amount of taxes owed ? sometimes as little as 10%.

Installment Agreement

Many taxpayers cannot qualify for an Offer in Compromise, Statute of Limitations expiration, or bankruptcy relief but still seek resolution for their IRS liability. In these cases, it may be possible to negotiate long term IRS payment arrangements. The IRS allows ?structuring? five primary types of payment plans, or Installment Agreements: Guaranteed Installment Agreements, Streamlined Installment Agreements, In-Business Trust Fund Agreements, Long-Term Installment Agreements, and Installment Agreements on Specified Balance Due Accounts.

Currently Not Collectible

If a taxpayer does not qualify for an offer in compromise and cannot afford to pay an Installment Agreement, Currently not Collectible (CNC) status may be an option. If a client is placed in CNC status, the statute of limitations continues to run and the IRS will not pursue collection actions. However, if a taxpayer?s financial status improves, the IRS can remove the file from CNC status and return to active collection status.

Reasons for attempting CNC status:

1. Taxpayer has income below allowable expenses and there is no indication that the financial situation will improve in the future;

2. Due to high equity, the taxpayer does not qualify for an OIC and has more allowable expenses than income so an Installment Agreement is not an option; and,

3. Taxpayer has more allowable expenses than income and the statute of limitations is getting close to expiring.

Statute of Limitation for IRS Tax Debt

The IRS has 10 years to collect outstanding tax liabilities. This is measured from the day a tax liability has been finalized. A tax liability can be finalized in a number of ways. It could be a balance due on a tax return, an assessment from an audit, or a proposed assessment that has become final. From that day, the IRS has ten years to collect the full amount, plus any penalties and interest. If the IRS doesn't collect the full amount in the 10-year period, then the remaining balance on the account disappears forever. The statute of limitations on collecting the tax has expired.

Selecting a Tax Professional to handle your IRS Tax Debts

Because of the complexity of the Offer in Compromise and other IRS tax debt processes, many taxpayers hire a tax professional to prepare their IRS documentation and to negotiate directly with the IRS. Tax professionals charge anywhere from $1,500 to $6,000 or more for accurate and thorough IRS representation. Because most of the IRS tax debt solutions involve negotiating with the IRS, your tax professional should be admitted to practice before the IRS. You should be looking for a Tax Attorney, an Enrolled Agent (EA), or a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to handle your Offer in Compromise. The tax professional must know about the laws governing IRS collection of tax debts, how the IRS evaluates offers, and what all the options are for resolving tax debt problems. ?Taxpayers should be looking for a tax professional with years of experience in IRS collection matters, especially experience in dealing with revenue officers, the Automated Collection Systems division, and the complex IRS process? according to Jim Brown, the managing tax attorney with Freedom Tax Relief.

Please be aware that even the most successful tax professionals have lost Offer in Compromise cases, so not every consumer looking for IRS debt help is guaranteed the most savings. It is important to know that your Offer in Compromise will be decided based on your unique financial situation. If you do need IRS debt help, having a tax professional represent you before the IRS will help ensure that all letters and phone calls from the IRS are handled quickly and professionally. But in the end, it is up to the IRS to make a decision about your case.

It is important to know that like death and taxes, your IRS tax debt issue will not simply vanish, so you should seek help before the IRS escalates collection efforts and/or you accrue additional penalties and interest.

Applications of Computer Aided Manufacturing

Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) is an automation process that directly converts the product drawing or the object into the code design enabling the machine to manufacture the product. CAM is used in various machines like a lathes or milling machines for product manufacturing purposes.

It allows the computer work instructions to communicate directly to the manufacturing machines. In the early 1950?s, the technology evolved from the Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines. Those were directed by a set of coded instructions in a punched paper tape. Now single computer with the CAM controlled computer system can control the entire process performed by robotic milling machines, lathes, welding machines and other various tools. It moves the product to various machines within the system by allowing each step to get completed during the manufacturing process.

The CAM system is used in various applications like lathes, welding machines and many milling machines. The major applications that are performed using the CAM system are wood turning, metal working, metal spinning and glass working. The applications of this system are also used in producing the solids of rotation, plane surfaces, and screw threads or helices.

Three dimensional solids can be manufactured by using the ornamental lathes with more complexity. The CAM systems are used in manufacturing the objects on the lathe includes candlestick holders, table legs, bowls, baseball bats, crankshafts and camshafts. Diamond turning is one of the processes that are performed using the CNC lathe systems in manufacturing diamond-tipped cutting materials. High-quality aspheric optical elements are manufactured from glass, crystals, metals, acrylic and other various materials. Other major application of the CAM system is the robotic milling machines.

CAM systems offer a wide range of applications in areas like mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering and aerospace engineering. A few of the applications that are used in the mechanical engineering area are thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, solid mechanics, kinematics, and robotics. The major applications in the electrical engineering are electricity, electromagnetism and electronics. Ergonomics, quality engineering and operations research are few applications in the industrial engineering. The major applications in aerospace engineering are aerodynamics, propulsion, materials science, and aero elasticity.

Die Cutting Equipment

Several pieces of equipment are used for die cutting. There are three basic types of cutting equipment. The first is a small swing arm ?clicker? press that is ideal for embroidery shops. The second is a large ?traveling head? press, which is used for multiple cutting and roll cutting. ?Full head? press is the third type, and it is used for heavy-duty jobs. Additionally, ?up-acting? hydraulic platen presses are available for special applications such as cutting jigsaw puzzles, circuit boards and screen-printed material. Automatic die cutting equipment is excellent for cutting large-formats such as paper, labels, coupon books and plastic membership cards.

Other types of die cutting equipment includes clicker punch presses, both automatic and manual roll feed and beam presses. A trained professional is required to select the right die cutting equipment for the right job. For simultaneous scoring and die cutting, low-cost steel-rule dies are used. Hollow die cutting equipment is perfect to create small-format items such as labels that do not require scoring and embossing. For efficient running, this equipment needs expensive solid-metal dies made of high-quality steel. Modular designed die cutting equipment is the most flexible.

The main features of good die cutting equipment are high speed, ease to set up and user friendliness. ATOM S530BP CNC die cutting equipment is one of the most modern and versatile instruments for the cutting of both sheets and rolls. Its maximum speed is 90 strokes per minute and can save material from 15 to 35%. This special die cutting system is planned to replace three to seven existing traveling head die cutting presses. It is an ideal solution for saving both material and time.

CNC Router Buying Guide

Some technology allowed humans to use machines and program codes to do things that had been done manually. CNC is one of these technologies.

CNC routers have been of great help in many fields (signage- making, 3D moldings and furniture, just to name a few). In that regard, it would be very helpful for its users to know how to get the best deal and quality on their next purchase of CNC routers.

Here are some tips on how you can get the best CNC routers.

1. Buying CNC routers from a manufacturer would be more advisable than buying from distributors.

Buying from a manufacturer will give consumers the following advantages -

- The guarantee that the sales representative knows a lot about the product. Who would know the product better than the manufacturers themselves?

- Consumers can buy the items at a cheaper price too, since there are no third parties or go- betweens involved in the transaction.

Just make sure that you know the nearest service center of the company so that you know where to go to in case you need follow- up services from them.

2. Visit multiple stores to try the different CNC machines.

- It would be advisable that you have materials that you can work on when you try the machines. Bring these materials home to see that of the products can give the quality of workmanship that you are looking for.

- Also, it would be advantageous if you can also check the machines ease of usage and your comfort while you are using the product. These things will help a lot in deciding that router you will use.

3. It is advisable to buy a new CNC router.

New CNC routers are more efficient, and the quality of work can be assured. Of course, not all circumstances would allow businesses the endeavors of having a new CNC router.

In case you would buy used CNC routers, here are the things that you need to look for -

- At least one year warranty from the seller just as an assurance that you would not have to shoulder repair expenses within that period.

- Make sure that all of the upgrades necessary for the machine have been done.

- Ask if it would be possible for repairs to be done after a year and ask how much it would cost.

4. Consult your vendor regarding your CNC router needs so that you will not buy something less than what you are expecting or something more that can add up to your expenses.

5. Test the durability and the reliability of the CNC routers.

These are the two qualities that a CNC router must be able to meet. All the parts of the router should be sturdy enough to carry on the heavy work. Minimal vibrations must be felt during operations, and the cuts must be precise, accurate and smooth. You must know these things before buying the product, and not after you purchase it.

6. Get the software that is easy to learn, manipulate, program and fix during errors.

When using CNC routers, operators will be dealing with programs and codes that tell the machine what to do. That is why it is a basic requirement for the operators to be accustomed to the software that he is using. Most of these things he will learn during trainings and product testing.

7. Consider workspace and the jobs to be done in buying CNC routers.

Materials that CNC routers are working on vary in characteristics such as hardness. Your CNC routers may do the job easily on this product, will have a hard time working on another. These things must be taken into consideration when buying CNC routers.

Also, workspace is another issue. Make sure that your workspace can accommodate the machine that you will be buying.

8. Price is relevant to the CNC router and the future profit that it can bring you.

Do not get a CNC router just because it is cheap. Think long term.

Your CNC router is the key in making the most out of your business. So give it your best shot to follow these tips to get the best CNC router to cater to your needs!

Cnc Machine Buying Guide

CNC refers to the computer controls of a machine. With the help of a program code, it will be easier to replicate same parts. It is a great innovation in the field of manufacturing that makes mass production more efficient and practical. That is why companies, large or small, must exert effort to find a CNC machine that will best suit their needs.

Here are some tips on how you can get the best CNC machines.

- Buy and choose with the help of buyers representative. A buyers representative has been made to cater to the following needs and give advantages to CNC machine users -

1. To allow users to save time in negotiating

Most people who would buy CNC machines will have to settle with getting quotations from two to three manufacturers to save time and to avoid the hassle of talking to a lot of sales representative.

By asking professional help from someone who knows a lot about CNC machines and manufacturers, you will just coordinate with only one party- the buyers representative. They will be the one who will shoulder all the talking and negotiations for you.

And since they regularly collect updated quotations from the CNC machine manufacturers, it will take lesser time for you to get information regarding the CNC machine of your choice.

2. To check the quality of the products that they are referring to buyers

Buyers representatives exert effort to check that the machines that they will be referring to buyers are of good quality.

3. To offer a large variety of machines from different machine manufacturers

Most people do the common mistake of asking for quotations from the well- known (and expensive) brands in the market when they have the options of buying other brands that are as efficient yet cheaper than the ?mainstream? brands.

Buyers representative offer quotations from less prominent CNC machine manufacturers that has cheaper price as well. In this way, the buyers representative also gives equal playing fields for all CNC machine manufacturers, both in the large- scale and medium scale.

4. To allow buyers opportunities to get the best deal for their money and save some too.

All buyers would like to get the best thing that their money can buy. Also, all buyers would also prefer to save their hard- earned money without sacrificing efficiency and quality. Here are some ways buyers representative can help you save money -

- The buyers representative only charge 5 percent of the cheapest CNC machine that meets the buyers requirements. That is a small price to pay for the assurance that you will get a wonderful CNC machine that will cater to your needs.

- The buyers do not have to settle in buying prominent brands and pay for the brand name. With lesser money to spend, one can get a machine as efficient as the prominent brands.

- By forming buying groups, buyers representative can also negotiate with manufacturing companies to give discounts to prospective buyers.

- With greater competition among the manufacturers, there will be better quality of products and more affordable prices.

- If getting help from buyers representative is not your choice, you can always do it yourself. The general rule in buying CNC machines is to be familiar with all the parts first then everything else will follow.

1. Make sure that the following parts are intact and correctly attached to the CNC machine to ensure the perfect working condition of the machine -

- the safety shield (a plastic that cover that protects the working space),

- the tool or drill bit (the part that does the cutting),

- spindle shaft (the part that holds the tooldrill bit),

- the spindle motor (the part that drives and controls the cutter),

- the vertical or upright column ( holds the pieces together) and

- the control box.

2. Always look for the emergency stop button in your CNC machine. This is to ensure that when an error is made, the machine can be stopped manually to prevent further damages from happening.

3. Big control guides are preferred so it will be easier for user to refer to it. It will also be helpful for operators who have poor eyesight too.

4. The plastic that comprises the shield must be made from sturdy polycarbonate.

Grow Your CAD Drafting Service Providers

If you work in a specialized design domain, such as aluminum composite panel assembly, HVAC duct installation, log cabin architecture or turbocharger manufacture, your CAD drafting service provider will need specialized knowledge for performing your drafting.

For instance, the drawings might have to be compatible with a CNC machine tool. This would imply a definite relationship between types of objects in the drawing and the layers in the drawing. This in turn would require the CAD drafting service provider to understand which objects to put on which layer.

Understanding which objects to put on which layer frequently calls for the draftsperson to profoundly understand your manufacturing or construction process.

The trouble is, there are very few CAD drafting service providers with ready knowledge of specialized domains. This means your choice of providers will be limited, and there is a good chance you will not be enthused by any of the firms that present themselves.

So what?s a CAD outsourcer like you to do?

Grow your own! (provider, that is?)

You?re right if you think this takes a lot of time, energy and patience. You?re wrong if you feel it will not be worth it.

Look at the advantages: we are talking about subject areas where there aren?t many good CAD drafting service providers. You take the trouble to develop one. So finally you have a good one and nobody else does.

This gives you a tremendous competitive benefit in terms of cost. While others have to use in-house, specialized draftspeople costing maybe $27 per hour, you?re cruising along at $11 per hour. Is that a killer advantage or what?!

The other big plus of growing your own provider is the loyalty that develops. Service provider loyalty is like protein to an outsourcing relationship. You need it vitally, you can?t buy it out and you have to produce it within the relationship. If you have it, you can go more miles than your nearest rival.

Which CAD service provider do you start off with? Find one your friends are using, or go online and select one with due diligence (more about that in a forthcoming article).

The motto of this story is that if you cannot find a CAD drafting service provider with the skills you need, find one that has an otherwise strong skill set. Take the time to teach them the skills, knowing all along that it is you, the outsourcer, who will reap enormous benefits as a result of the process.

To your CAD outsourcing health!

Adsense Niche Site Builder Best Of Show

Niche Marketing has evolved so why do a lot of people's sites. Most site owners build massive sites and leave them, when they should be freshening things up on them a bit. Many new Niche Ideas come around everyday, but be careful of what you purchase. Beware of cheap scripts, because it could be hacked to rip you off.

Niche marketing website builders are a true turn in profit generating software. They have shown great success in building people a nest egg for a rainy day or begin building a retirement fund and work from home. You can be your own boss scenario. I know! I'm one of those people, that get to set home and set my own hours, but it does take some work and dedication to your businesses to be a success in your field.

There's hundreds of niche website building programs out there, but Be Careful! Read all the program offers, what there guarantee is, if your dissatisfied and what options are included, how it works and is there any unethical practices involved with the program, in anyway shape or form. Unethical practices are rude, unmoral and can lead you to being banned off of google, Amazon or whatever affiliates you are affiliated with.

In all honesty your being paid to advertise for these affiliates and help them sell there products, in return they return a profit to you just to help promote there site. You at least owe them respect for helping you in your profit venture, you paid nothing to acquire the rights to use there name on your site.

Just a couple a programs like Article Systems, Article Miner. These are two programs amongst probably hundreds of programs to help build your niche market site. Article Miner being the best is a visual basics built program. It has rather well built features and room to add plenty more. Article Miner has a nice business look and feel with it as well.

Along with Article Miner there is a site called Article Miner Templates they work to build Article Miner Templates for the system and offer them to current Article Miner members at a relatively fair price. All of the template features included -PHP INCLUDES to clean up the code and what I mean is your affiliates like google and yahoo or even amazon, overture there code sets in a file on the website server instead of your website. PHP allows you to protect your adsense pub I.D. from being removed or tampered with.

It boosts Dynamic RSS FEEDS in the templates and the options to turn OFF or ON certain ad formats or affiliates through a variable folder that you make edits to on your website host account.

Article Miner Templates is by far the best and for most Article Template System for Article Miner I have used yet. Article Miner is just adsense worthy 100% and builds really impressive websites. Article Miner is constantly updated on the first week of every month and if you have any program problems, there is a rather huge forum base that can assist any question you may have to offer.

Administrators are all pleasant and The owner Tom is a pleasure to deal with. ArticleMinerTemplates.com has some impressive template packages you can purchase to really boost your sites over all look, feel and makes building sites a breeze.

All my personal sites are built we Article Miner and I used Article Miner Templates for my sites as proof of both sites excellent work of genius.

Online Poker Sites Top of Choice

How about this, Can you believe there endless numbers of poker sites online to choose from, but there's a lot of garbage out there also, so be careful as to who you decide to choose as your main playing site. Every site has it's feel and some of them are scams before you even start to look through them.

A few good online poker sites are pokerstars.com, pokerhost.com, doylesroom.com. These are my personal online gambling favorites. Pokerstars.com is where i've blown most of my money, but also made some good chunks of cash as well. They have a user friendly navigation system, they always answer any questions you have when questions are sent to online support. The minimum for real play online is a $25.00 minimum deposit. There are many merchants to choose from to transfer your funds.

These online poker sites Atmosphere is kind of mixed. Lot of young folks online who all-in all the time. Trash talk and haven't one slightest clue of playing online poker, let alone hearts for the matter, these are pranks and jokes online you'll have to deal with. Poker Stars has plenty of free online tournaments to play, with chances to win your way to real cash prize through online tournaments. A good Site for other poker related articles is
www.wsop-caf?.com

Pokerhost.com has a glamour look to it. The graphics could be toned down a bit, they over take the whole site, but don't take it in the wrong way though, it still has many good features. www.pokerhost.com has online free rolls that cost nothing and make you eligible for cash prizes if you place well. The tourneys cost nothing to enter and a real goodtime.

Doylesroom.com is by far, the simplest online poker site. All the game play seems to be of real poker players and people willing to learn online poker to accomplish there goals. Deposits for real cash poker is a minimum of $25.00 they have small blind rooms and bounty tournaments where you have Doyle Brunson, his son Todd Brunson and another poker legend. If you can take one out or two or even possible all of them, it pays out a big cash reward and pretty hefty. In the Big Bounty if it's all three you cash out with $10,000.00 pretty spectacular for a cheap buy in of a couple bucks.

Doyle Brunson's! Poker Room boosts a real good online poker player's site without a doubt. No trash talk, no egos that been seen and an online chat system separate from the main table. You can close it out and forget chat ever existed.

These are a few of my personal favorites, but I encourage you to try them if you are the online poker player as I. There simple sites, Well known and have produce some top level online poker champs. Our government may not like online gambling, but it's your money where's our freedom to spend it the way we see fit.

Have a good time playing, be courteous and don't get a big inflated head, if you don't abuse the poker rooms and there chats things run smoothly and everyone has a great time.

The biggest thing people forget these days is to have fun playing poker. Playing poker online isn't always got to be competitive. Have fun, meet new people and forge new friendships we people you share poker interests with and trash talk get you so far, then skill tips the hat, to a pro.

Engraving - Types And Varieties

Engraving is a piece of carved structure, which is made with incisions designed into a hard and flat surface by carving grooves on it. The results of engraving are decorative objects that provide unique d?cor to the surrounding arena. You can carve engravings on materials like silver, gold, copper, relief print block, wood or copper. With proper backgrounds, different types of engravings truly add a touch of wonder and variety to room d?cor.

Process of engraving

The process of engraving is purely scientific. The engravers use a hardened steel tool called burin to cut design into the surface, mostly that of copper. The burin cuts a unique quality of line that is characterized by its steady appearance and clean edges. The gravers often use angle tint tool that is more commonly used in printmaking. When the gravers have to carve on larger areas, they use Florentine liner tool that carves multiple engravings. While flat gravers are particularly used for doing fill work on letters, the round gravers are used specially on silver, nickel and steel to create bright cuts. However, other tools like roulets, burnishers and mezzotint rockers are used particularly to bring in a texturing effect.

Engravings are used on different forms like paintings, postage stamps, walls and other items. Following are the different types of engravings:

Modern engravings

These types of hand engravings are basically available in the firearms and other metal weaponry, musical instruments and jewelry pieces. In most of industrial uses like production of Intaglio plates for commercial purposes, hand engravings are often replaced with CNC engravings done by milling machines.

Laser engraving

It is a practice of using lasers to engrave, mark or etch on an object. Although laser engravings are more applicable on "laserable" materials like polymer and novel metal alloys, they are mostly applicable on materials like plastics, coated metals, stones and glasses, woods and natural materials.

Music engraving

This is the art of drawing music notations at high quality. In the early 20th century, music staff paper was printed onto vellum or onionskin, which makes it possible to easily rectify any type of mistakes done while engraving. With the advent of personal computers, hand engravings have basically become a past. Now individual parts of an orchestral score can be easily extracted and printed using numerous computer programs.

To decorate your home and office, you can use hand engravings and give an aesthetic touch to the d?cor.

EDM Machining

EDM machining actually stands for electrical discharge machining. This is the term used for a machining process that is used in the process of manufacturing those parts that are made from very hard metals and their alloys. Some of the parts or objects that are produced with the use of EDM machining include dies made of hardened steel, critical components of engines and compressor blades of jet engine fans. EDM machining is a thermal process that is able to remove as well as re-deposit material on top of the object that is being machined. The area that is recast is characteristically much tougher than the regular or original surface. It also will have a desirably higher resistance to wear and tear like abrasion and corrosion.

In the process of EDM machining, an electrical discharge is made to occur between the object surface and the tool used for finishing. This discharge induces high temperatures that range between 10,000 to 20,000 degrees centigrade. In this manner a dielectric field is created that, as long as it exists, it constantly removes and then re-deposits material to the object's surface. The process allows you to introduce metal or elemental powders into the dielectric stream and this causes an alloy to be deposited.

EDM machining is a process that is also put in use in order to cut, shape and alter exceptionally hard metals. It is used to turn metals into tools that can in turn be used to cut and machine those objects that are made from softer metals. In this kind of machining, a wire that is electrically charged is moved extremely close to the object that is under machining and it is at that point that the electrical discharge actually begins. EDM machining is a technology that is extremely useful to mechanical industries today and is used in almost all tool making and metal cutting processes.

Precision Machining

Precision machining is a process that is used to produce a large number of both large as well as small objects that we make use of in our daily lives. Each intricate and detailed piece that makes up an object needs the touch of a machinist's skills. Similarly, a machine or tool that is worn down will require the action of machine tool calibration quite frequently. There are also other facilities provided by precision machining apart from calibration. These would be detailed welding or grooving carried out by a precision machinist. Ranging from aircraft aluminum alloy production right till devices for surgically drilling of bones precision machining caters to almost every industry and technology. Put simply, if an object is made of parts, it would have needed precision machining.

While the majority of precision machining companies usually work with one form of CAD/CAM programs or another, they still do often work with sketches that are hand drawn. Although the hand sketches are usually made use of only in the initial phases of a design. Precision machining can be used on a variety of materials that include graphite, bronze, steel, plastics and glass to name just a few. Based on the project size and the materials that are to be used, different kinds of precision machining tools are put to use. Precision machining is indispensable to numerous industries and various kinds of technologies. Without precision machining we would be unable to manufacture a number of detailed and intricate parts of various objects. The detail and accuracy it brings into the manufacturing procedure is what renders precision machining as so indispensable. There is a long list of machining companies that specialize in precision machining and you can use the Internet to locate them and avail their services. Precision machining is an integral part of mechanical and manufacturing industries.

oPetrol Developed Oxy-Gasoline Welding Torch, Will Acetylene Welding Torch Become a History?

After cutting torch, oxy-gasoline welding torch has been developed by a company with a brand name oPetrol. Will oxy-gasoline torches terminate the history of acetylene welding torch?

Beijing, China, oPetrol, a Chinese manufacturer, has developed oxy-gasoline welding torch after their cutting torches and blowing torches, a revolutionary product that gives the hope to terminate the role of acetylene in flame process.

"oPetrol oxy-gasoline cutting torch system works extraordinarily. Compared to cutting torches, welding torches are much more difficult to develop. That is because of the strong oxidizing nature of oxy-gasoline flame. Said Flora Miao, the president of oPetrol.

"The problem is, without welding torch, the product line is not complete and in many occasions users will have to keep the heavy and hazardous acetylene cylinder merely for welding usage. " (Flora Miao.)

"Our present version of welding torch is ideal for brazing and joining of non-ferrous metals. It may braze weld steel too. But it can not do steel fusion welding as an acetylene torch.

" We are trying to make the oxy-gasoline welding torch catch up with acetylene torch in its steel welding features. We are sure it is possible.

Oxy-acetylene welding has been practiced for over a century. The mixture of oxygen and acetylene is used as it has been the only gas combination with enough heat to weld steel.

Despite the fact that in most industrial applications oxy-acetylene welding has given place to electrical welding, acetylene is still preferred by users in the field of maintenance, reparation and some other applications.

Acetylene has been used in steel welding and other heat treat process for a century. Acetylene is very hazardous and energy costly. It is also notorious for its pollution.

Attempts to find a better fuel to replace acetylene have been made in many countries for nearly a century.

oPetrol has successfully developed cutting torches and blowing torch. It also has torches for CNC cutting machines and will develop torches for diversified applications.

The development of oxy-gasoline welding torch is aiming at totally substituting gasoline for acetylene in its most popular cutting and welding applications.

Industrial Information - High Speed Milling Machines

High speed machining is a proven stipulation characterized by low cutting forces and high metal removal. High Speed Milling is a technique used in the CNC Milling Industry that combines high spindle speeds with increased feed rates. This results in a high chip-forming rate and lower milling forces, producing an improved surface quality and closer tolerances. In high speed milling, the electronics can make all the difference. The right CNC coupled with other elements of the control system can let a slower machine mill a given form faster than a machine with a higher top feed rate.

1. High Speed Uses

High-speed CNC milling is used, for example, to machine the titanium rotors of the first high-pressure compressor stages of the EJ200 engine. High speed CNC milling allows cost-effective milling of the airfoil geometry from the solid. By subsequent finishing operations the planned surface finish is achieved. The CNC milling which caters to high speed must be structured with an axis movement system that is suitable for machining.

2. Axis Movement

The high-speed CNC milling machines required for the process must be fitted with an axis movement system suitable for machining blisks, which should be at least 5 axes simultaneously, depending on the milling task involved and an efficiently high-speed control system.

3. 3D Surfaces

High Speed CNC milling machines working on 3D surfaces in any materials produce a finer surface finish and higher accuracy in less time that the traditional milling machine. Acceleration is the most critical factor that affects the high speed machining. Since one or more axis are always increasing or decreasing velocity in a 3-D cut, ultimate feed rate is directly related to acceleration

4. What Can A High Speed Control Possibly Do?

A CNC milling machine which possesses a higher structural stiffness has a greater potential acceleration rate. Box shaped high speed CNC milling machine, like Bridge and Gantry is the mostly widely used types of High speed CNC milling tools. The overhead type Gantry exudes the highest stiffness, acceleration and accuracy among other high speed CNC milling tools. Due to its scalability, this machine type is available in sizes to match the work piece, from small to large.

In usual terms, it simply gives you the ability to finish one task faster and move along to the next sooner, making work output higher. In drilling and tapping, this can result in faster hole-to-hole times, quicker spindle reversals for tapping, and substantial cycle-time reductions. The most dramatic benefits, though, come in 3D designs machining. Few, drilling and tapping jobs require a million lines of machine codes. In molds, dies, patterns, and prototypes, complex surfaces comprising a million or more line segments are not at all uncommon. Saving just a fraction of a second per move can result in substantial cycle-time improvements.

5. Downsides - When Is Fast Too Fast?

But despite all these benefits, in high milling, the tool path segments can be so short that a machining center moving at a high feed rate can?t accelerate or decelerate fast enough to make direction changes accurately. Corners may be rounded off and the work piece surface may be gouged. Look-ahead is one answer. Look-ahead capability can let the CNC read ahead a certain number of blocks in the program, to anticipate sudden direction changes and slow the feed rate accordingly.

6. Additional Benefits:

- Improved accuracy
- Better fit
- Superior finish
- Better life
- Produce more work in less time
- Improving the accuracy and finish
- Reducing polishing and fitting time
- Tools simply last longer because their chip load is more consistent

Laser Machining

Laser machining technology uses high intensity laser beams of varying widths for a variety of applications such as slotting, cutting, and creating holes. It can be used in fabrication of different types of materials such as metals, plastics, vinyl, glass, marble, and graphite. Other materials that can be fabricated using laser machining include nylon, ceramics, carbon fiber, composites, soft rubber, and thin metal foils.

Laser machining systems are used in conjunction with computer numeric control (CNC), which makes it ideal for use with thin walled tubing, boasting beam widths down to .0005'. In this process, the machining operator uses computers to control machine tools for manufacturing complex and intricate parts in metal and other materials.

A laser machining process involves the use of conventional as well as fiber optic beam delivery systems, which allow precision positioning while cutting metal or other materials. It is used to cut burr-free parts that are required in a number of industries such as aerospace, automobile, shipping, and others. The process is fast, efficient, and can be repeated any number of times depending on production volumes. It is used to create grooves that are cut to a specific depth with one pass of a laser beam without severing any material from the work piece.

Laser machining is used for producing a knurled or roughened surface on hard materials such as metals and fragile materials such as ceramics and glass. The technology is also used for marking material surfaces. In the process a high intensity laser beam is passed through a stencil of a mirror and onto the area of the material or work piece that is being marked.

Research is underway to develop advanced laser machining techniques that will allow the production of microscopic devices for use in medical industry. This will help in fighting deadly diseases such as cancer in the near future.

CNC Rotary Tables

A CNC Rotary table is a piece of CNC milling equipment used for precision metalworking. It is similar than a dividing head or indexing head except that it is fixed to be used in only two planes, the horizontal plane and the vertical plane. A CNC Rotary table is used for CNC milling and is made up of a solid base that has proper provisions for clamping metal material on tables and other kinds of equipment. The table of this CNC milling equipment is a precision machined disc that also has provision to clamp materials in it, that is aided with a T slot. This CNC milling equipment can rotate by itself or be controlled by a worm or a handheld operational control.

1. Extreme Accuracy

A graduated dial and a vernier scale allow this rotary table to be positioned to a high degree of accuracy. The center of CNC milling equipment has hole that allows a morse taper center or fixture to be inserted. A tailstock is usually provided if the rotary table can be mounted from its end, so that the axis will be horizontal. The most common use of this CNC milling equipment is on it vertical axis that in this mode is on the same plane as the cutter when it is used on a milling machine.

2. Coaxial Design

If the CNC rotary table is mounted on a secondary table the work piece is adjusted in the center around the rotary tables axis, in this position the work piece is centered around the cutting tools axis; this make all three axis coaxial. Making a way for the secondary table to be offset in either the x or y plane so that the cutter is pitched at a distance from the work piece?s center allowing a simultaneous operations on the work piece.

3. Specialized Or General?

There are literally hundreds of CNC milling equipments available on the market today with different specifications and different additional features. They come in all types of shapes and sizes. Some are designed for specific applications, while others are more of general purposes in nature. When looking for the right CNC rotary tables, try to talk to people who already using this kind of equipments from them you can learn how this things work. The good thing about talking to this people is that you will gain information not based on industrial propagandas but on experience and uses of there CNC milling equipments. You can also visit a shop in your area so that you will ly see on how CNC rotary tables work. You can eve try to use one CNC milling equipment to know how it feels. You can also attend CNC seminars to be able to gain professional views about his matters and also do not forget to check online information sites.

4. Setting Up Shop

When setting up your CNC rotary tables make sure that the platform is stable and your CNC milling machine secure. Setting up your CNC milling machines is a critical issue to early success, the less movement that occur the better. The right material to be used should also be thought about when using this kind of CNC milling machines. Determine the right thickness and sizes of your materials. Also look for proper fixtures for your CNC milling machines, for this will save time, money and frustration when using your CNC rotary tables.

Before going into production, make a plan to test the different variables you need to work with for a period of time. Getting familiar with your machine is also a critical issue for success. Try to make familiar with the different types of cut, type of materials to be cut, the table type, the depths of cut, the feed rates and the type and sizes of bits that you will be utilizing. Feel around the machine but not literally though for it may I injure you.

5. Satefy

Make sure to read your manuals and have a thorough understanding about the safety measures and the different features of your CNC milling machines. Have a good idea on how this things works. On what it can do to make your business prosper and also on how it can harm your employees.

Machining Jobs

Machining refers to the basic process of cutting parts out of a work piece according to predetermined size and shape. Machining jobs are performed using different types of machining techniques such as laser machining, wire electrical discharge machining (EDM), Chemical etching machining, metal stamping machining, water jet machining, and abrasive water jet machining.

Most of the machining jobs are controlled with the help of computer numeric control (CNC) software that guides the cutting equipment along the lines and arcs of a computer aided design (CAD) drawing. The CAD drawing is a three dimensional (3D) graphic representation of parts that are to be fabricated.

Apart from cutting parts from work pieces, machining jobs also include the process of "grinding." Grinding is a process in which a grinding belt or wheel is rubbed against the work piece for removing unwanted material from it. The process is commonly used for fabricating metal pieces that are too hard to be machined by other machining processes. The work piece does not heat up during this process as water is used to cool it. "Drilling" is another machining job, which involves the use of a drill or a drill press that has a drill bit for cutting parts from a work piece.

Machining jobs may include "milling," wherein the milling machine resembles a drill press and the cutter looks like a drill bit that goes downwards in the piece to be cut. However, the milling process is less accurate and is preferred less than the turning or grinding machining process.

Machining jobs have enabled manufacturers to design and produce complicated parts used in high tech industries such as aerospace and automobile. An increasing number of machining jobs are now being rendered using environmentally friendly techniques, such as water jet and laser, which are good for the future growth and development of manufacturing industries.

The Skinny On Siberian Ginseng

Ginseng is yet another addition to the category of Hot supplement topics. Of course - if there is a naturally occurring substance that helps to stimulate mental and physical energy, decrease incidence of cancer and ward off colds and flu - I certainly want answers! Although I'm still left a bit confused about all the different varieties - Siberian ginseng appears to be a popular, commercially available and beneficial form.

The Claims:

Decrease/Prevent Stress and Stress Related Illness:
Created from the root of the Eleutherococcus senticosus plant native to Siberia, Siberian ginseng has been used as an energy tonic by the Chinese for over 5,000 years. This is exciting news as it appears that ginseng improves both mental alertness and attention to detail. It has been noted in many studies to improve endurance and increase overall energy in many athletes. For me, this begs the question: "Could ginseng be a natural solution to ADD?" It does appear so. And where stress is concerned - in documented patient studies, rates of stress were lower in individuals who supplemented. Ginseng has shown promise in both the relief of stress and decreased incidence of stress related diseases, such as arteriosclerosis, by improving circulation and normalizing blood pressure.

Relief of Menopause Discomforts:

Siberian ginseng - in many of the articles and studies I found - works to stabilize hormone levels to decrease or relieve the discomforts of menopause, i.e. emotional instability and hot flashes. Also ginseng is used in much the same way to stimulate the endocrine gland and also assimilate vitamins and minerals.

Increase Male and Female Fertility:

In females - many of the studies suggest - ginseng supports uterine function. This will strengthen the female uterus and aim to make it more fertile. In males, ginseng acts in much the same way by stimulating testosterone levels.

Treatment of Cold and Flu:

In many cases, Siberian ginseng has helped to stimulate the immune system to both decrease the symptoms of cold and flu and support the body by warding off infection of cold and flu, entirely.

Other Noted Pathologies Relieved by Siberian Ginseng

? Decreased symptoms of Alzheimer's
? Decreased symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis
? Decreased symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia
? Decreased symptoms of multiple sclerosis
? Decrease in general fatigue associated with PMS

The Bad News:

As customary, I always want to know "what's the bad news?" First, my usual disclaimer: Always check with your doctor before beginning any supplementation - in this case especially. Ginseng, it's known, could mimic a period in menopausal women. Also check with your doctor about any drug interactions. Other bad news - there has been mild diarrhea in rare cases associated with Siberian ginseng supplementation and - oddly enough - it should be avoided if you have high blood pressure, are menstruating or are pregnant. Otherwise Siberian ginseng appears to be very safe at recommended doses. With high doses, insomnia, nervousness, irritability and anxiety have been reported.

How To:

In everything I've read, the information was consistent: Take ginseng on an empty stomach, before breakfast or 1 hour prior to meals. To decrease risk of insomnia, avoid taking ginseng close to bedtime. Also consistent: Make sure you obtain your Siberian ginseng from a reputable source. Other tips: Be sure the ginseng is "standardized" and contains at least 0.9% of it's active ingredient "eleutherosides."

When supplementing Siberian ginseng - according to my favorite source, Dr. Earl Mindell (see sources below) take 2-3 caps of 100-200mg daily as a preventative. There are many recommendations for different ailments - including rotating different varieties of ginseng. If you have a pathology you think may be helped by ginseng - discuss with your doctor how to treat it accordingly. It is also known that the body likes a breather from ginseng - therefore, according to all sourced noted, be sure to take two weeks off every three months.

Machining Techniques

Machining refers to the industrial process of cutting and fabricating metals and other materials into predetermined shapes and sizes. Machining process is controlled with the help of computer numeric control (CNC) software that guides the cutting equipment along the lines and arcs of a computer aided design (CAD) drawing.

A machining process may involve the use of different techniques depending on the number of parts being manufactured and the type of material. Machining techniques may include manual machining, which is used for cutting metal sheets in simple shapes such as circular, square, and rectangular. This process is however being replaced by automatic machining systems and processes that can cut any type of shape out of metal sheets needed for different purposes.

Chemical etching machining technique is mainly used for producing typical precision parts. The machining system offers a great flexibility for producing precision parts with unusual configuration as well as metals with tight tolerance within .0005'. Besides this, chemical etching machining is capable of producing small holes and bars that are not possible with other machining techniques. Another common process is Wire Electrical-Discharge Machining (EDM) in which the metal is separated from a conductive work piece by means of electrical erosion. During this process, the wire never touches the conductive work piece and leaves a path on the work piece, which is slightly larger than the wire.

Another technique known as the metal stamping machining phenomenon, which is also referred to as progressive die stamping or long run metal stamping, is extensively used in production of precision parts with thickness from .002' to .135'. The technique is mainly used for processing typical low price parts that are formed into three dimensions.

Apart from these, some modern techniques are also in use such as abrasive water jet and laser machining that are more accurate and environment friendly as compared to conventional machining techniques.

Natural Relief For Arthritis And Joint Pain?

The years of teaching high impact aerobics are catching up with me. Sure it's been great for the ticker, but the knees on the other hand are showing signs of age and making icky noises. What my Physical Therapist friends call "creep" and "crepitus" (which is just nice technical way of saying "grinding") had become loud enough to be heard by the naked ear! At the rate I was going - I was sure I'd need a knee replacement by 40. Of course this just won't do. So I've taken to doing leg extensions regularly and? taking glucosamine.

Glucosamine - What's That?

"Glucosamine" is a natural constituent of cartilage which has been shown to stimulate the production of connective tissue! In more technical terms, glucosamine is considered an "amino sugar." An amino sugar is the component of a carbohydrate which does not contribute to the body's energy - instead it gets incorporated into body tissues, forming such structures as tendons, ligaments, bones, skin, nails, eyes and heart valves.

What is Glucosamine Used For?

Glucosamine supplements have been used most recently (according to the research I consulted) for everything from joint pain to connective tissue repair. It's best know for its contribution to tendon and ligament support, for building joint cartilage as well as reducing destruction of cartilage. It has also shown promise in reducing inflammation due to asthma and bursitis, lessen the incidence of food allergies, tendonitis and skin problems! As if that isn't enough - what I find most exciting about glucosamine is its use in relief of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.

How Glucosamine Works

It's fairly basic. We produce less glucosamine as we age, therefore our cartilage has difficulty retaining water. Depletion of this fluid, which ads "cushion" to the joints and other tissues, can create everything from joint pain to arthritis. Glucosamine (together with its counterpart chondroitin - another naturally occurring substance) - helps to counteract this water loss as well as restore cartilage.

Side Effects

So What's the bad news? I always want to know. Here's what I found: Since these substances are naturally occurring - they work on the body differently than synthetic drugs (think Prednisone) or anti-inflam's like Naproxen. This said - it takes a while to notice signs of joint help - more than likely it could take up to a year of regular supplementation before the benefits take hold. Once they do, however, 50% of all regular users have reported definite decreases in symptoms of joint pain - I will let you know! The only other downside I could find to the glucosamine/chondroitin complex users were nausea and heartburn - although they are rare and counteracted by eating prior to supplementation.

How To?

As I've just stated, always take the glucosamine/chondroitin complex with meals to avoid side effects. I take one, 500 mg tablet once a day. Dr. Mindell (I am a big fan of his work: see below) recommends taking just 1-3 500 mg. tabs daily for three weeks (to get a boost), then take one, 500 mg. tab daily.

My Usual Disclaimer:

As always, please check with your healthcare provider before supplementation - discuss with him/her any medications you are taking to avoid interactions. Although herbs and other naturally occurring substances are considered "food" (simply because they can't be patented and trademarked thus cannot come under scrutiny of the FDA) they are still very strong substances in the body and should not be taken lightly! Check out more literature - educate yourself!

Automotive Machining

Machining techniques are used widely in the automotive industry for manufacturing different automobile components such as outer body sheets, internal components, and windscreens. Automobiles are produced in an assembly line that requires the same type of components for producing them in large volumes. Different components are prefabricated using machining processes and transferred to the assembly line for final production.

One of the most common automotive machining techniques in use today is known as wire electrical discharge machining (EDM). Wire electric discharge machining (EDM) uses a wire electrode that travels through the conductive work piece. The electrically charged wire is monitored by a Computer Numerically Controlled system (CNC).

Wire EDM removes a material from the work piece by spark erosion. During this process, the wire never touches the conductive work piece. The electrically charged wire leaves a path on the work piece, which is slightly larger than the wire. Often a 0.010' wire is used which creates a 0.013' to 0.014' gap. The wire electrode can just be passed once through the conductive work piece, and cannot be reused.

The gap between the wire and the work piece generates high voltage electrical pulses. The high voltage and the controlled spark melt and vaporize a small part of the work piece. Each spark produces a temperature of 10,000? C, where as the energy turned out by the power supply decides the size of the spark penetration into the material. With the improvement in the cutting speed, reliability, unattended operation, and accuracy, it is also becoming popular in many other industries such as the aerospace, defense, and electronics.

The multiple work pieces set up and unattended operation saves a lot of time of the operator, which can be fruitfully utilized on other job functions. The wire EDM system is very cost-effective and can be operated at around $4 per hour in normal cutting conditions.

Should You Be Taking CoQ10?

In my quest for the "supplemental" truth it seems necessary to explore the qualities of the latest hot supplement topic: Coenzyme Q10. Everywhere I turn these days, I'm reading about the benefits which range the gamut from anti-aging to heart protection. But, is Coenzyme Q10 right for you? Read on!

First: The Claims:

A Rich Source of Anti-oxidants:
Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10), also known as ubiquinone, has been documented as a rich source of anti-oxidants. In much of the research and articles I've read, CoQ10 is consistently thought to act in much the same way that vitamin E does. In fact, CoQ10 has been found in many studies to be much more effective than vitamin E in lowering cholesterol and creating an optimum environment for the cells to create energy. Other strong anti-oxidant qualities include: the reduction in risk of heart disease and regulation of blood pressure.

Stimulates The Immune System:
CoQ10 has also been shown to be an important component in the function of the immune system. It both inhibits bacteria as well as increases immune function. It also increases white blood cell production. In many cases when the body is deficient in CoQ10 (which becomes more common as we age) the immune system becomes compromised. Supplementation can often counteract this.

Anti-aging Qualities:
Studies also suggest there is possible anti-aging effects in CoQ10. It has been shown to slow the aging process through its antioxidant qualities. Anti-oxidants, as we know, prevent "free radical" damage - the instability of cells which causes them to mutate unnecessarily creating everything from sun damage to cancer. CoQ10 has also been noted to increase endurance during exercise and is currently being used as a therapy and reversal for Alzheimer's.

Heart Health :
CoQ10 depletion has also been linked to hypertension. Therefore supplementation of CoQ10 is currently being used as a natural remedy to decrease blood pressure. It is also recommended in reducing the risk of atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries) and for prevention of the oxidation of LDL cholesterol which causes plaque.

Oral Health:
Like green tea, CoQ10 has been thought to promote oral health. CoQ10 is supposed - in many studies - to slow or arrest periodontal disease. CoQ10 also protects the gums and heals damage from gingivitis as well as protects teeth from cavities.

Weight Loss:
Obesity can lead to a decrease in the production of CoQ10. Therefore, in many of the studies I found, supplementation of CoQ10 was given to both to patients suffering from obesity and patients looking to manage weight.

The Bad News

What's the bad news? Not much. There doesn't seem to be any documented toxicity from supplementing with CoQ10. However, if you are pregnant or a nursing mom it would be best not to take this supplement as the long terms effects have not been recorded. Some reports suggest CoQ10 will decrease the effectiveness of warfarin - a blood thinner, but there is no evidence to suggest it is decidedly so. Finally, the dosage should not exceed 200 mg per day as this - in some cases - has been shown to cause diarrhea and nausea.

Other FAQ's About CoQ10:
How much CoQ10 is enough to reap the benefits? For Best results (in the literature I consulted) 1, 30-60mg capsule up to 3X per day is a safe dosage when taken with meals. When choosing a supplement, it is important to be sure the capsule is in CoQ10's natural form which is dark bright yellow in color.

In Summation:
Once again, in this scientist's opinion, I would mark CoQ10 as being well worth your consideration. Do your homework, however. As with any change in your healthcare program, always consult your healthcare practitioner. If you are on any other medications be sure to talk to your doctor or pharmacist about the possibility of interaction. Conduct your own research project. Here are some great resources that will help get you started.
